The Weekender, July 11, 2026: The Bad Guys

Three and a half weeks out from the Season 3 premiere, and this week we introduced you to one of the people you're going to love to hate.

Dan Cole has been in the background of The Chronicles of Oscar and Amber for a while. Sharp-eyed readers have noticed him. Oscar's first big client, Virgil Smith, had a history with him. And some of you already knew Amber was spending a lot of time at his house.

Season 3 is when that becomes everybody's problem.

The character video is... well, see for yourself. Dan Cole is very happy to tell you exactly who he is. He considers that a feature, not a bug.

We also dropped Georgia this week —

— who has been one of the more quietly interesting people in Oscar's orbit, and we've met a couple of times during the series.

Georgia is a little underserved as one of Oscar's long-time friends. But that isn't going to be true forever. She holds the key to a major part of his backstory which... eventually... is going to get a full treatment.

Twenty-four days to August 4. The pipeline is moving, the shoot schedule is grinding forward, and we are very close to being ready to put this thing in front of you.
