Season 3, Episode 16: Gone
It was almost like a graduation or something.

Here I was in the board room at Stafford Oil. It was my third board meeting, the second one as a member of the board, and yet I was getting the gold-watch treatment.
The consulting contract with Stafford had ended. I really didn't have much else to do anyway; the headquarters team was built, and the company was pretty much running itself. Michael didn't need me anymore - or, perhaps more to the point, what he needed me for was what he couldn't do, which was to sell Stafford to somebody worthy of buying it.
So I was sitting at the table, listening to Erica as she went through a few boring preliminary items and then she turned to me.
Erica's appreciation speech.
"And now, I want to say something to Oscar Barr, who's our newest board member and I hope he'll be on the board for a very long time. But his role has changed, because he's transitioned out of the position of executive consultant; starting next month that role will be filled by Leigh Papadakis, on Oscar's recommendation. Oscar, the job you've done in helping to spearhead this company's revival has been nothing short of miraculous. We're grateful beyond measure, and we've got a small token of appreciation that we wanted to give to you."
