Amber had insisted on packing my suitcase for the trip. I just stood there watching her.

"This expertise you're putting to good use is the product of how many YouTube tutorials about packing a suitcase?" I asked her.

"OK, Mr. Smarty-pants, make fun of me some more. I know that you appreciate me doing this for you, whether you admit it or not."

"You know I do, but half this stuff you're tucking away in those little plastic bags I really don't need for a Thursday-Sunday trip, baby."

"Oscar, you never know."

"And you really didn't need to wrap my shoes in Saran Wrap. Where'd you get that idea?"

"It'll keep them from getting scuffed! Come on. That's a total life hack I'm giving you."

"Ohhhhhkay."

She just looked at me and laughed.
