The Weekender, October 24, 2026: The Downpour
As we get clear of Season 3, these Weekender posts are going to do a couple of things.
First, they'll have some eye candy and fun stuff. Like for example, there's this - which is a promo video for the site, but it's also just a fun bit of playing around with the canon. It's Amber walking Rufus, after the end of Season 3 and before Season 4 begins, and Oscar is out of town, so she's just... doing her thing and dealing with what life throws at her...
Season 4 is going to kick in maybe a couple of weeks after Season 3, so this is around the end of July, 2024. And yes, that is a very typical South Louisiana thunderstorm she gets herself caught in.
But it's just fun.
The other thing - which is coming; it's too early to do this now - is that in the Weekenders we'll be dropping nuggets of information you'll need in Season 4.
There are new characters, and new context, coming for the next season. So you'll want to pay attention to these, particularly as we get close to the end of the year.
Right now the plan is to debut Season 4 on Tuesday, Feb. 16, 2027. So between this edition of The Weekender and the debut of S4, there are 16 Weekender slots lying in wait.
Fun is on the horizon. Even without a new season coming just now.
So if you're just finding your way here, I have a link for you. It's to the Welcome page of the site, which is the page containing a very easy navigation list from which you can get to all of the episodes in the first three seasons, plus the bonus episodes following Seasons 1 and 2. You don't need to be a member of Amber's Army for those first two seasons; Season 3 does require an Amber's Army membership, but I'd expect you'd be hooked well in advance of that and can't wait to join.
But what I would absolutely advise is that you join our newsletter list, which you can do for free. That'll get you notifications of new stuff on the site - in fact, you'll get all of the posts here, whether they're Weekenders or new episodes or whatever, delivered to your email.
Like I said, that costs you nothing, and it's a great, easy way to keep up with everything we're doing here in advance of next season.
Amber's pretty adamant that you sign up. Right, Amber?
